The umbrella I think will be very useful this fall- apparently it is just very wet here. McD's seems like a poor export.. but it is good to go to abroad. I think my folks took my sister to one here in Russia when they adopted her. :) The "alternative logo" is my own design- back when Jen first mentioned wanting one, I played around with the idea. (I love all the Tolkien references) Crossing #1 and #5, when we were in China to adopt our youngest, they were having the worst snowstorms in decades. Stuck way out in the business district, we gave up and got McDonald's. It took a LOT of work to convince the girl at the counter that yes, I really did want the red bean fried pie (instead of the usual apple or cherry you'd get in the US). Sweet red beans are common in a lot of Chinese desserts, especially sesame balls. Mmmm... darn it, now I want one again! And where did you get that alternate logo for 7 Quick Takes?
